How it All Started

Famine was initiated generally in Third World countries such as Sub- Saharan Africa, South Asia and in some regions in Latin America. Basically, the cause of all the malnourishment and food scarcity is the global debt crisis of the 1980’s in which Latin America was the most severely impacted region among other several developing countries. Ever since this incident, these areas have been highly indebted with developed countries, making it hard for them to support their population with food and medical assistance, let alone sustain an adequate system of agriculture.
